On the 25th Anniversary of 9/11

On this 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, The Steady State honors the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders and service members who ran toward danger in defense of our country and our values.

In tribute to those we lost, and mindful of those values, we remember 9/11 as a day to recommit ourselves to preserving, protecting and defending the Constitution of the United States.

May we never forget.

Founded in 2016, The Steady State is a nonprofit 501(c)(4) organization of more than 400 former senior national security professionals. Our membership includes former officials from the CIA, FBI, Department of State, Department of Defense, and Department of Homeland Security. Drawing on deep expertise across national security disciplines, including intelligence, diplomacy, military affairs, and law, we advocate for constitutional democracy, the rule of law, and the preservation of America’s national security institutions.
