THE STEADY STATE ENDORSES CORY BOOKER FOR SENATE

WASHINGTON — The Steady State, an organization of more than 420 former national security, intelligence, diplomatic, military, law enforcement, and homeland security officials, today endorsed Sen. Cory Booker for Senate.

Cory Booker represents New Jersey in the United States Senate and has served since winning a special election in 2013. He founded a nonprofit providing legal services to low-income families and served on the Newark City Council and as Mayor of Newark before being elected to the Senate. In Congress, Booker has built a strong foreign policy and national security profile through his service on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, alongside his work on democratic governance, economic security, and global human rights.

Cory Booker demonstrates a consistent commitment to the rule of law, execution to democratic norms, and exhibits a substantive understanding of the national security challenges facing the country.
