THE STEADY STATE ENDORSES DEREK TRAN FOR CALIFORNIA 45TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

WASHINGTON — The Steady State, an organization of more than 420 former national security, intelligence, diplomatic, military, law enforcement, and homeland security officials, today endorsed Hon. Derek Tran for California 45th congressional district.

Derek Tran represents California’s Forty-Fifth Congressional District and currently serves in the U.S. House of Representatives. Before being elected to Congress in 2024, he worked as an attorney and served as a small-business owner and community leader in Orange County. In Congress, Tran has focused on issues including national security, veterans, economic opportunity, healthcare, and protecting democratic institutions, bringing his background as a first-generation American and attorney to his work in the House.

Derek Tran demonstrates a consistent commitment to the rule of law, supports nonpartisan oversight and accountability of the Executive Branch, and exhibits a substantive understanding of the national security challenges facing the country that the organization’s criteria require.
